Remember when I was telling you about that job I had at the place that was like a hybrid of an ad agency and a FedEx Office?

So... anyhoo... Some of the most ambitious projects I worked on there were a series of lengthy sales brochures for a Detroit-based e-learning company. 

When one of these projects landed on my desk, I'd clear out an entire day on the calendar to work exclusively on the first draft. I worked all day and late into the night. took great pride in writing these brochures. 

On the other end of the spectrum, early in my career, I had the pleasure of write brochures for my friends' business - Fresh Roasted Almond Company. 

It's always fun to work with friends, but when your friends make the most delicious cinammon-roasted almonds on the planet, it’s hard to call what I did work. To this day, I still give them out as holiday gifts.
